Nakayama Mitsu Asagi

This Nakayama asagi is the sharpening finish of dreams for razors, tools and knives, suitable for ultra-high quality polishing and blade refinement. The stone is very hard but easy to handle - especially when used with side suspension or Nagura. Polishing is very sharp and detailed, but contrast is maintained.

This light gray asagi has a rather prominent sumingashi (ink on water) pattern throughout the stone. No inclusions are visible and the lines are secure. The stone is much heavier than you would expect for its size, meaning it has a very dense structure and will wear very slowly.
