The V-7000 was launched in 1990 and was the most popular model at the time. There is also the higher-ranking V-8000S, which later appeared in 1991 as a modified and improved V-7000 and became the top model, displacing the 7000 into second place.
After the V-9000, TEAC completely redesigned the V-9000, so that the new series, of which the V-7000 was the flagship, could be said to have been made from scratch and all subsequent models, such as the V-8000S, the V-7010, the V-8030S, were essentially an upgrade of the V-8000S series.
It was produced both for the domestic market and for export, in silver and black. In addition, black was not in demand in Japan and is quite rare there.
The TEAC V-7000 has a wide range of features and guarantees high quality sound.
Robust body, metal front panel.
LPM 4 engine, two shafts with closed tract.
The motor has quartz stabilisation and direct drive shaft drive.
The second motor is responsible for the rewind and the other two are responsible for loading the cassette and lifting the head unit.
3-head system, cobalt amorphous heads with pure copper PC-OCC (99,997%) winding
As befits a quality deca, it has a film calibration function. The calibrator is manual, unlike many of its competitors, the calibration is done for each channel individually according to level and magnetization, which allows for a more precise adjustment of the head to the specific band. The magnetisation is 210 kHz, interestingly the frequency has been reduced to 150 kHz in the next model V-7010.
It features Dolby B and C noise reduction and HX-PRO dynamic shifting system.
Includes IR remote control RC-394
The TEAC V-7000 was in production for about two years, enjoyed great popularity and was released in large numbers.
