This is a traditional Japanese straight razor made of high-carbon steel, with the Shotiku mark and model number 33. This razor can be very sharp and long-lasting when properly sharpened, but requires maintenance (as carbon steel tends to rust).

Such Japanese razors were usually made of high carbon steel (炭素鋼 tanso-kō), using traditional methods with carbon-rich white steel (Shirogami) or "blue steel" (Aogami).
In terms of workmanship and period, Shotiku 33 is probably made of high quality Japanese carbon steelfor achieving a very sharp edge. Stainless steel was almost non-existent in these older models.
