Vintage medium-grained soft sharpening stone Aoto (Japanese for Blue Stone) from the Tanba region. Grain size approximately #2000. It is very easy to use and with stronger pressure you can build up an impressive amount of slurry. With the right amount of water, you can leave a very uniform finish with lots of contrast and barely visible scratches. Drink water.
