Japanese natural sharpening finishing stone Nakayama Asagi Nashiji. A fairly hard and fine stone that we recommend as a final sharpening stone at the end of the sharpening process for knives or other tools. Also good for finishing razors as long as you don't use too much force.
This is a regular shaped heavy stone that does the job very well!
This gray asagi has a striking nashiji dot pattern throughout the stone. No visible lines or inclusions. The bottom of the stone can also be easily prepared for work.
Nakayama (中山)
This Eastern mine is famous for its sharpening finishing stones awasedo. A multi-layer stone with a different color is especially valued by carpenters and razor sharpeners. Compared to stones of similar hardness and fineness from other mines, Nakayama stones are known for a more pleasant sharpening sensation.
