Japanese natural sharpening finishing stone Nakayama Mizu Asagi. It is a very hard and extremely fine stone that we recommend as a final finish at the end of the sharpening process or to refresh the razor blade every time the shave becomes less comfortable and starts to pull hair.
It's a pretty regular shaped little koppa that does the job very well!
This gray asagi has a faint nashiji dot pattern throughout the stone. No visible lines or inclusions. The bottom of the stone can also be easily prepared for work.
Nakayama (中山)
This Eastern mine is famous for its sharpening finishing stones awasedo. A multi-layer stone with a different color is especially valued by carpenters and razor sharpeners. Compared to stones of similar hardness and fineness from other mines, Nakayama stones are known for a more pleasant sharpening sensation.
