Uddeholm Vanax (Sweden) - Steel is produced by solid phase nitriding from spray powder. The high nitrogen content ensures high wear resistance of the products, often several times higher compared to "normal" steel. VANAX steel has high mechanical strength, good flexibility, wear resistance and extremely high corrosion resistance. There are no serial knives made of such steel, because it is necessary to choose the right heat treatment, which requires a lot of time, energy, skill and effort.

Typical uses of steel:
- Agile shaped components requiring high corrosion resistance
- Hand knives
- Food industry components and knives
- Parts operating in aggressive environments
- Highly stressed machine parts in corrosive environments
