Coarse enough to quickly sharpen used knives and fine enough for a really sharp finish. Since you&#039;ll be using a sharpening stone with this grit a lot, they wear out pretty quickly. In order to guarantee a long service life, Naniwa has made this whetstone extra thick. At least twice as thick as your average whetstone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, Aotoishi has become more and more popular. Not only because of the thickness of the stone, but also because the stone is so effective and versatile. The name Aotoishi refers to the green color and the fact that it is a sharpening stone.
